- York Askham Bar Park & Ride: On the A64. £3.50/day. Bus into centre (15 min). 24hr parking allowed. Best option for campervans.
- Clifton Moor Shopping Park: Large car park north of the city. Overnight tolerated. Bus into centre (20 min).
- Terry Avenue (South Bank): Residential parking. Free. 15 min walk to city walls.
City Walls Walk
The city walls are free to walk. The full circuit is 3.4km and takes about an hour. Start at Bootham Bar. Highlights: Monk Bar, Micklegate Bar, Walmgate Bar.
